Resm-e-Mayoon

There are different traditions in the world to celebrate the “Wedding “. They celebrate these happy moments with zest and zeal. The event is celebrated according to their cultural, religious beliefs and traditions. 

In Pakistan and India the event started with the “ Resm-e-Mayoon”. When date of marriage for girl is decided, few days before wedding girl is bound to stay in her own home.She is not allowed to move outside the home .Friends of brides come to meet her in home and applies “Ubtan” to the bride's hands and face.They sung songs and all other famous folk songs. This custom is called “Rasm-e-Mayoon” 

The concept behind this custom is to made her free of all the chores around the house. By doing this girl looks more beautiful and elegant on her big day means “Shaddi”.
